Florida Medical Marijuana Caregiver Requirements
A registered caregiver can help a qualified patient access and manage medical marijuana when assistance is needed. Florida has specific requirements for who may serve as a caregiver, how caregivers are registered, and what responsibilities they may have.

What Is a Medical Marijuana Caregiver?
Under Florida law, a caregiver is a Florida resident who agrees to assist a qualified patient with the medical use of marijuana, meets state requirements, and has an approved caregiver identification card.
Caregivers may help patients obtain, transport, or administer medical marijuana as permitted by Florida law and the patient's certification.
