Every patient responds to medical marijuana differently. If Florida's standard medical marijuana recommendation limits no longer meet your treatment needs, Karen Monroe MD, can evaluate your condition and determine whether a Request for Exception (RFE) is medically appropriate. This service is available to established patients at no additional charge.
What Is a Request for Exception (RFE)?
A Request for Exception (RFE) allows your physician to request authorization from the Florida of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) for medical marijuana recommendations that exceed the state's standard limits when medically justified.
An RFE is not automatically approved. Karen Monroe MD, will carefully evaluate your symptoms, medical history, and treatment response to determine whether submitting a request is appropriate based on your individual healthcare needs.

If a Request for Exception is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Florida of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), which determines whether the request meets state requirements for approval.
